Once upon a time, a boy traveled to a faraway land in search of fun and adventure. He got all that and more…The boy’s Friend Loki asked him twice to come to this faraway land…The boy had never been so far south before. He was nervous about the voyage. The boy prepared best he could. Packing as smart as he could and studied the local language for 6 weeks before traveling. The boy never tried learning a new language before. He decided Espanol was as bueno a language to start with as any…Though the boy was nervous / excited, he made the journey to the magical forest land. He had no idea what fun adventures he was about to experience! The boy started with the basics. It was a struggle at first to gather his essentials of food, clothing and phone service. But like everything else in the boy’s life, he set to task. Like magic all started to come together. The boy thought new thoughts and considered different choices: kids, a dog, loving himself more fully, healing old, deep wounds. He felt joy and lighter than air no drugs necessary…The boy learned and grew and learned some more. About himself and friends close by.
The boy’s friend Loki invited him to meet a shaman and drink the Legendary Nectar of the Gods. The boy imagined traveling to meet a wise and kind Shaman of the light; A teacher on his quest; The boy was SO wrong! The boy met a Shadow Shaman instead; El Shaman Negro and yet in that shadowy place, in that den of vipers, the boy’s soul and spirit would rise unimaginably. Fore in the darkest of places, even a tiny candle light shines incredibly bright.
In what seemed a tranquil beautiful villa atop a mountain in the hills, the boy met the shaman. Who would have guessed, such a picturesque Shangri-La would hide sinister intent? The shaman was a man in his 50’s. Natives are called paisa. The boy was surprised the shaman wasn’t paisa. The shaman was from a foreign land very far away, yet called himself a native healer. That struck the boy as strange. The shaman was a curious fellow in many other ways. The shaman had strange rules about himself and the house…those rules changed constantly… The shaman would single the boy out again and again. “Take off your shoes,” the shaman said to the boy. The boy didn’t understand as nobody else was required to take off their shoes and boy’s shoes were never dirty. During meals the shaman watched the boy eat from the head of the table. “You are too skinny!” The shaman sneered. The boy was taken aback; He was a healthy weight. Why would a healer of the light say such things and in the way the shaman did? The boy finished eating, but the Shaman kept the boy at the table. “Here, have another plate,” Said the shaman. Shoving another full plate of food in front of the boy. The boy replied, “No thank you, I’m full.” The shaman countered, “I said eat more!” The boy looked around at the rest of the dinner party bewildered. Everyone looked down; No one said anything. The boy ate as much as he could off the new plate. His stomach very full. The boy began to stand up and step away from the table. The shaman said, “Don’t waste food! Finish everything on your plate.” The boy felt sick and replied, “I can’t eat anymore.” The boy quickly left the table and retreated to his room.
