I have a pad of paper right next to my bed. If I wake up and have ideas, I don’t go blind by phone. Writing half asleep, eyes closed, my penmanship goes from bad to worse (hieroglyphics I need to decipher). I woke up to a fun hieroglyphics puzzle this morning. Post decoding was a list of super skillz to learn (or unlock–through the human talent tree of course). What a great idea I can’t remember having! Some skillz are the usual adult-y important but boring stuff like: “become a better communicator” and “invest money more wisely.” Others far more interesting: “learn how to walk around house with eyes closed and not hit anything.” I imagine crashing into stuff constantly, but if Helen Keller can do it, so can I. Then there’s: “unlock ability I’ve never heard of before that makes life a lot more fun!” Sign me up for that merry mystery superpower and put a rush order on delivery! Speaking of delivery, one of the abilities on the list: “A 6th sense to know when delivery drivers are just about to arrive.” Random I know, though I feel Alexa is going to beat me to the punch on this power. Whatever, i won’t say no if it comes to me. Another awesome adaption I’d love: think 90% percent less thoughts, only thinking the straight gold 10% fun/useful/crazy/inspirational/random thoughts. Last–but not least–super useful skill: “A 15 second warning system I’m about to be in danger…of bumping into someone I never want to see again…” Giving me plenty of time to put on a disguise or jump into the bushes. Oh so many super skillz so little time!
