The Refreshing Edge

I’m a big fan doing things on the regular that give me an extra edge; An extra advantage or boost in my day that gets me into a better mood, higher levels of performance or both. Cold showers have become a part of my life that not only gives me an edge, but are also extremely refreshing! Many people I talk with about cold showers get the chills just thinking about them. They say cold showers are too uncomfortable to actually do. I’d say for the most part, any uncomfortable feelings around cold showers are actually mostly mental. Even taking a super cold shower, your body gets mostly used to the feeling in about 30 seconds to a minute–that’s it! I personally find cold showers to initially be one of the more physically exhilarating parts of my day then morphs into one of the most refreshing and calming experiences. I only take a cold shower for about 7 minutes every couple of days. That’s enough to give me a bunch of benefits from: reduced stress levels, higher alertness, stronger immune system, increased willpower and even can affect weight loss and improve depressive symptoms! With all those benefits and more being discovered, you owe it to yourself to give cold showers a try.
